華喦 (1682-1756) 鳥鳴秋樹枝畫
Hua Yan (1682-1756), zi Qiuyue, hao Xinluo Shanren, Dongyuansheng, Buyisheng, Ligou Jushi, was a native of Shanghang, Fujian. He resided in Hangzhou in his early years and later moved to Yangzhou where he earned his living by selling paintings.
Hua was a prolific painter and excelled in painting landscapes, flowers, birds, animals and figures. His painting style on the one hand reflects the influence of the Song painters LI Gonglin and Ma Hezhi, on the other hand inherits the legacy of the Ming and Qing painters Chen Hongshou and Yun Shouping. His works are characterized by innovative compositions, lively images, consummate mastery of brush and mutable application of ink and colours. His works set the fashion for the flower-and-bird painters in the late Qing period.
華喦(1682一1756) 清代畫家,字秋岳,原字德嵩,號新羅山人,又號白沙道人、東園生、布衣生、寓垢居士,福建上杭人:一說莆田人,曾為造紙作坊徒工,性愛繪畫,少年時在白沙村華氏宗祠廳壁作畫四大幅,深得鄉人贊許,后流寓杭州、揚州,以賣畫為生,晚年卒于杭州,擅畫人物、山水,尤精花烏、草蟲、走獸,選師李公麟、馬和之,近受陳洪綬、惲壽平及石濤等影響,重視寫生,構圖新穎,形象生動多姿,時用枯筆、干黑、淡彩,敷色醉嫩不膩,有松秀明麗、空靈駘宕之致,論者謂其"領異標新,窮神盡變",機趣天然",直可并駕惲壽平,對清代中葉以后的花鳥畫影響甚大. 工書,取法鍾繇、虞世南,自成一體,傳世作品有<白雲松舍圖>軸,現藏天津市藝術博物館,<花馬冊>(八頁)、藏故宮博物; <秋風好音圖>軸,藏遼寧省博物館,<春水雙鴨圖>軸,藏南京博物院,著有<離垢集>,<解弢館詩集>.
